An hour’s drive from Belize City on the Old Northern Highway takes you 31 miles north of Belize City to Altun Ha, which is one of Belize’s most well-known Mayan sites. This archeological site once served as a coastal trading center that features 2 main plazas with 13 structures surrounding them.
Jewelry pieces are on display at the site, many of which were found in the temple of the “Green Tomb”. Also found was a solid jade head weighing almost 10 pounds and standing 6 inches in height. This treasure is the largest jade carving found at any Mayan site and was discovered in the temple of the “Sun God”, which is the tallest building, standing over 54 feet from the plaza floor.

You are voluntarily participating in these activities with knowledge of the dangers involved and hereby agree to accept any risks. You therefore release and discharge Private Belize Adventure, its affiliates and employees from all claims, actions and demands of any nature that may include claims for bodily injury, death, property damage, or any incidental or consequential damages arising from my participation in the Tours and / or Excursions.
Full payment is due in order to confirm the tour. A 80% refund will be granted if cancellation is received 36hrs or more, prior to departure. There will be NO refund if cancellation is received less than 36hrs prior to departure. We Private Belize Adventure reserve the right to cancel any trip prior to departure under circumstances that may make operations of the trip inadvisable. All trip payments, which were received, will be promptly refunded. This cancellation policy applies to any reason for cancellation, including airline delays, strikes, world events, personal issues or Acts of God.
